Local SEO works when you are targeting LOCAL clients only. If you have a storefront location you should be working on your Local SEO constantly to keep up with local competitors who are also trying to not just show up in the maps section, but to show up on the top 3. The top 3 results on the Maps section, sometimes just the top 1 or 2, are displayed on the first page of the search engines, like Google. To see the rest of the map listings the user will have to typically click ‘View More’. The top 3 usually gets the most activity.
